Holocaust survivor Joshua Kaufman saluted World War II soldier Daniel Gillespie, who was responsible for liberating him from a Nazi concentration camp seven decades ago. Joshua Kaufman was enduring Hell at the hands of Nazi guards at the Dachau death camp before the American soldiers found the facility and rescued the captives. A German documentary crew tracked down the two men and set up a reunion.

Kaufman has told anyone that will listen that he only has his life because of Daniel. When the two men met on Huntington Beach in California, it goes without saying that it was an extremely emotional reunion.

The emotional Kaufman broke the silence first by saying, "I love you so much." Then the Holocaust survivor kissed the hand of the veteran and said, “I have wanted to do this for 70 years. I came out of hell into the light. For that, and to him, I am eternally grateful.”
